Let’s Celebrate!

We are excited to welcome to the table a favorite of the Roundtablers, Lori Brighton!

Laurie: Welcome Lori! So, what have you been up to lately?

Lori: Well…I have a new release out. A contemporary paranormal romance called The Ghost Hunter. It’s available…

*Renee runs into the room waving her hands like she’s being attacked by a swarm of bees* Whoa, whoa, whoaaaaaa! What’s Lori doing here?

*Lori takes a sip of her ice water*

*Laurie tilts her head to the side* What do you mean, Renee? She’s our guest blogger.”

No, no, no she’s not *Shaking her head, Renee paces the floor* Christiana’s new release is out today!

Laurie: You’re absolutely right. Lori Brighton is suppose to be joining us on Friday, October 29th. Today we are celebrating the release of Yesterday’s Indiscretions!

Renee: Yep! and we all want to say…

Yesterday’s Indiscretion by Harris Channing

Be very careful what you wish for…

Thirty-something kindergarten teacher Lindy Whittaker has decided it’s time to marry and start a family. Steven Hamilton, a successful businessman, seems to be “Mr. Right.”

But when Michael “Mac” MacIntyre, her former lover, who happens to be ten years her junior, comes to town, will he ruin all of Lindy’s well-laid plans? Will she find love in stability or in passion? And will the choice she makes lead her into blissful happiness or terrifying danger?

Congratulations, Christiana, from all your friends!!!

  7. I’ve read this book and I’ve always told Chris its one of my favorites of hers. I think its because I’m getting older and the idea of a younger, hot man… ;)

  8. Did we get her? Did we? :)

You’re not a baby to cry. I only wish we could do this in person. Then we’d all be crying.

  9. Yes YOU DID GET ME! But it was a great way to be got!

I know, we need to figure out the mid point between the lot of us and get together. Can you imagine the damage we could do?

Yeah Lori, the older I get the more I see why Mrs. Robinson liked Benjamin!

  16. Super Duper congratulations, Christiana!!! And mega sales!!!! :)

BTW… Midpoint between all of us would probably be somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic, but I’m game…however, for the sake of our tiny addiction to oxygen, let’s say the Azores, not quite the midpoint but at least terra firme. :D

Can’t wait to read Yesterdays Indiscretions, it sounds yummy! :)

  31. I couldn’t agree more about gecirtrias. I miss sitting with some of the elderly individuals I used to help and they would tell me stories for hours about the things that they witness when they were younger, and the lives that they lived up to the point that they needed care. I have always felt that the elderly know how to live their lives better than anyone, and they for sure never take it for granted! Sometimes the people taking care of them are not good people though, and it always breaks my heart to see someone talking badly to an elderly man or woman.I like how you made a switch from little tiny babies that have no real experience with life, to elderly men and women who have lived life to its fullest and still have more life to share with others. Such opposites!

  32. Hi John, thanks for the conmemt. Yes I would love a copy of your function please!I see what you mean by adding months in series but on the other hand, the function is doing what it claims to do You could do something like this in clarion but of course this is only if you specifically want the last day of the month:thisDate = ’31-10-2009′LOOP i = 1 TO 12 thisDate = GetLastDayOfMonth(AddMonths(thisDate, i))ENDJust for completeness I did a test on the .Net version to see what happens. It does the same thing as you described.(Using powershell which is really neat for this kind of adhoc testing!):PS C:> $A = Get-Date 31/10/2006; for ($i = 0; $i -lt 11; $i++) {$A = $A.AddMonths($i); $A}Tuesday, 31 October 2006 12:00:00 AMThursday, 30 November 2006 12:00:00 AMTuesday, 30 January 2007 12:00:00 AMMonday, 30 April 2007 12:00:00 AMThursday, 30 August 2007 12:00:00 AMWednesday, 30 January 2008 12:00:00 AMWednesday, 30 July 2008 12:00:00 AMSaturday, 28 February 2009 12:00:00 AMWednesday, 28 October 2009 12:00:00 AMWednesday, 28 July 2010 12:00:00 AMSaturday, 28 May 2011 12:00:00 AM
